Help our participants improve their resumes! Join our students in an intensive during which you’ll give them advice from your industry on how to translate their skills and experience into effective self-marketing.

Give OBT participants real experience in interviewing! Test their skills in conveying their experience and qualifications by conducting mock interviews. As a volunteer, you will be provided with guided questions and an evaluation/feedback form to review with our participants.

A quick opportunity to exchange information with contacts, designed to propel a trainee’s career goals! Speed Networking allows participants to perfect their personal pitch, articulate their strengths, and gain confidence in their networking skills.

The concept is based on “speed dating.” Our participants will take part in a series of seven-minute interviews with volunteers. Each professional is paired with a participant. Following each interview, the professional will fill out a feedback card that details the participant’s strengths and weaknesses.

How did you get to your current position? What has your career trajectory looked like? It is so helpful for our participants to hear how a career is built from professionals in the field. In this panel, you will provide summaries of your current role and your pathway to obtaining this job. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to learn more and to inform and inspire their own career journeys.

Are you interested in a one-on-one with an OBT participant? We are always looking for mentors from various industries for our students. As a mentor, you’ll provide support for a participant in an emerging professional context. Mentors advise about a specific sector and the educational, networking, and skills requirements of breaking into that sector.
