The largest of OBT’s initiatives is the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Construction (RESC) Training Program, designed to address the growing demand for skilled labor in the clean energy and sustainable construction sectors. As a registered pre-apprenticeship program through the New York State Department of Labor, the RESC Training Program ensures participants receive recognized and standardized training. Emphasizing both technical and interpersonal skills, the program prepares individuals for the competitive job market. Additionally, OBT staff enhance participants’ social-emotional and self-advocacy skills, providing wraparound services to overcome barriers to training and employment.
