Case Manager – Advance and Earn

Position Summary

Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) is seeking an enthusiastic and strong candidate to be a Case Manager in our Advance and Earn Program. Under the supervision of the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Case Manager will be responsible for providing supportive counseling and case management as needed in the Advance and Earn Program. Advance and Earn supports opportunity youth 17-24 in three program components including contextualized academic programming at the Pre-HSE level, comprehensive High School Equivalency and work based learning and sector focused advanced training.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strength based coaching and barrier resolution to young adults at all phases of the Advance and Earn model
  • Maintain case tracking, case conferencing and group supervision models to assure that young adults and staff are holistically supported
  • Participate in clinical supervision
  • Provide case management and crisis management as required
  • Attend relevant professional development and provide referrals for external training for staff
  • Facilitate essential skills workshop
  • Monitor the flow of young adults throughout program components
  • Enter and track data in all relevant systems.

 

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have a demonstrated successful history of counseling/case management with young adults
  • Possess a demonstrated set of resources for referral and crisis management skills
  • Have experience in developing programmatic systems for supportive services
  • Be able to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting

  • Believe that workforce development and equity are inextricably linked
  • Be driven to create a strong culture of high accountability and high support
  • Have experience engaging in and building relationships with varied stakeholders including young adults, staff and community partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least three years of counseling/case management experience
  • Experience in workforce programs a plus
