Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you had a joyful and restful holiday with your family and friends.
At OBT, 2022 was a continual focus on what matters most – supporting our teams and strengthening the workforce by serving as a bridge to economic opportunity for youth, individuals, and families in underserved communities. This is one of the many things that is critical for economic recovery during these unprecedented times. We are able to accomplish this because of our 40-year commitment to our mission – to break the cycle of poverty and inequity through education, job training, and employment.
This pass year our Programs and services returned to in-person engagements, community outreach, and on-site comprehensive social service support. Our dedicated teams continue to discover innovative methods to serve our community. All of this is possible because of the steadfast dedication of our Board, Teams, and partners. They make up the fabric of OBT, and I am so proud of what we have accomplished.
2023 marks the 40th Anniversary of OBT; I am excited and inspired for our bright future. OBT is a place to support individuals as they enhance their education and gain strategic connections to sustainable economic opportunities. We will continue on our journey to help individuals thrive!
Thank you for your partnership and support. Here’s to a successful 2023!
Yours in Service,
Dr. Darlene Williams
