Free Healthcare Training for Young Adults in New York City
Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) offers free healthcare training programs in Brooklyn, NYC, designed to prepare young adults for entry-level and career-pathway roles in the healthcare field. Our programs combine hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, career coaching, and job placement support to help participants build stable, meaningful careers in healthcare.
Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing industries in New York City—and OBT’s training programs create direct pathways into this essential workforce.
OBT’s New York State-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program, delivered in partnership with Kingsborough Community College, prepares participants for entry-level roles in patient care. Participants receive classroom instruction, hands-on skills labs, supervised clinical experience, BLS/CPR certification, and a paid internship opportunity. Upon completion, participants are eligible to sit for the New York State CNA Certification Exam. Must be ages 18–24 and have a High School Diploma or GED.
Train for a career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 14 weeks! Earn an NHA credential, gain hands-on experience through paid internships with hospitals and health providers, and receive job placement assistance. Must be 17–24, an NYC resident, and have a HS diploma/equivalent
