Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) offers free healthcare training programs in Brooklyn, NYC, designed to prepare young adults for entry-level and career-pathway roles in the healthcare field. Our programs combine hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, career coaching, and job placement support to help participants build stable, meaningful careers in healthcare.

OBT’s New York State-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program, delivered in partnership with Kingsborough Community College, prepares participants for entry-level roles in patient care. Participants receive classroom instruction, hands-on skills labs, supervised clinical experience, BLS/CPR certification, and a paid internship opportunity. Upon completion, participants are eligible to sit for the New York State CNA Certification Exam. Must be ages 18–24 and have a High School Diploma or GED.

Our Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program prepares you for a career in healthcare through 75 hours of online and in-person instruction plus 16 hours of clinical experience. You’ll learn to provide personal care, take vital signs, support daily health needs, escort clients to appointments, and build the hands-on skills needed to succeed in the workforce.
