Alyssa Bain received her Bachelors in Global Studies with concentrations in Spanish and Latin American studies from Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles. Upon graduating, she participated in a year-long service corps during which she worked in community organizing within New York City’s immigrant community. She entered the field at the inception of President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) initiative and advocated alongside her clients for comprehensive immigration reform at the nation’s capital. Now at OBT, she focuses on Naturalization, Citizenship, and Deferred Action immigration cases while educating the local community on its rights. After extensive training in immigration law, she has submitted an application to get accreditation and recognition from the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) to practice immigration law in the non-profit setting.
