Program Details

OBT’s Office of New Americans provides free services for the immigrant community of Bushwick and the surrounding area.

By collaborating with reputable pro-bono immigration lawyers, OBT assists in filing the following applications:

  • Naturalization *
  • Renewal of Green Card *
  • Certificate of Citizenship *
  • Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
  • Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA)

OBT can also provide assistance with SNAP and ETIC screenings. To determine if you’re eligible for benefits, please complete this 7-question form.

* Individuals applying for these applications may be eligible for a fee waiver if they are low income or receive public benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, SSDI, or NYCHA housing.

In addition OBT also provides:
Preparation for citizenship exams
English classes for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Computer classes, entrepreneurship training and support
Programs for Mexican youth and adults

Additionally OBT can provide referrals to other no or low-cost immigration services providers throughout the city.
