OBT seeks an energetic, highly organized professional to join our Jamaica Queens location. This team member will play a critical role in supporting program staff and participants, primarily in our OBT Jamaica programs, which serve Opportunity Youth (16-24 years old). The Office Assistant will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to program intake, data entry, and general office support. The Office Assistant is an ideal position for entry-level professionals who have excellent skills working with young adults and are interested in further developing their administrative and program experience.

Scope of Work
We are seeking a part-time temporary team member to work 20-25 (primarily daytime). The day to day will be a mix of program intake, data entry, and general office support. The successful candidate has exceptional detail orientation and outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills. An ideal team member will be enthusiastically mission driven, possess strong interpersonal skills, and work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will be committed to a model of high expectations with high levels of support and believe in the power of education and meaningful employment to change the life trajectory of young adults.
High School Diploma required, Associate Degree or attending college/graduate school preferred; strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with all stakeholders; ability to work well independently and as part of an interdisciplinary diverse team; interest in developing innovative and engaging ways to approach to workforce programming.
