Answering the Call: A Young Men’s Empowerment Day – Elected officials and communities come together to mentor young men in Brooklyn

Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow participated in an impactful event on Saturday Feb. 27th. We came together as a large community to empower over 150 men, some as young as 13, to provide mentorship, career advice, encouragement and professional clothing.

Belon, District Representative from office of US House of Representatives Yvette D. Clarke; Mr. Abraham Tejeda from NYC Commission on Human Rights; Mr. Samuel M. Pierre, Executive Director at American-Haitian Caucus; actor Jamie Hector; 500Men, Gangstas Making Astronomical Changes in the Community; Thomas Pink USA, Hot 97 FM and the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development.
