Position Summary
Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Job Developer/Internship Monitor for our Advance and Earn Program.  Under the supervision of the Workforce Development Coordinator, the Job Developer/Internship Monitor will be responsible for cultivating and managing key subsidized internship and employer partnerships as young people achieve and complete milestones in the Advance and Earn Program. Advance and Earn supports opportunity youth 17-24 in three program components including contextualized academic programming at the Pre-HSE level, comprehensive High School Equivalency and work based learning and sector focused advanced training.


  • Develop a range of internship opportunities to engage and support young adults at varying levels of skill development and interests for the purpose of career exploration and sector focused experiences
  • Develop and implement workshops and instruction that are contextualized and provide a range of work based learning opportunities
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to develop appropriate work-based learning experiences
  • Assure achievement of all program milestones, benchmarks and credentials required intervals
  • Monitor the flow of young adults throughout program components
  • Develop employment opportunities in relevant industries that promote career growth
  • Enter and track data in all relevant systems.

  • Have experience with/knowledge of integrated programs providing work based learning and academic instruction


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in workforce programs a plus
