MCIF Center @ OBT 25th Anniversary Celebration
October 16, 2018 @ 6:30PM — 9:30PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Empowering the Bushwick immigrant community through education since 1993
Please join us for an evening of hors d'oeuvres and beverages as we celebrate the Maura Clarke – Ita Ford Center @ OBT's 25th anniversary. Started in 1993 by Sr. Mary Burns to empower immigrant women in Bushwick through education, MCIF has assisted thousands of women in achieving their personal and professional goals. MCIF and Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow merged in 2015, and now the center is an integral part of OBT's adult literacy and immigrant services work in the city.
We are honoring Chris Morrison for her more than 13 years of service and advocacy for MCIF. We are thrilled to host the celebration at Emma's Torch, which empowers refugees through culinary education. Learn more at www.emmastorch.org
All proceeds will benefit the Maura Clarke-Ita Ford Center @ Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow.
In memory of Sr. Mary Dowd, OSU.
