Come have some terrific homemade Italian food, while supporting a cause which is vital to enabling immigrant women in achieving their personal and professional goals in the United States. All proceeds benefit the Maura Clarke – Ita Ford Center @ OBT, and will directly assist students of OBT’s adult education program as they learn English.

This year’s dinner features a special reading by Eileen Markey, author of “A Radical Faith: The Assassination of Sister Maura.”

A Radical Faith depicts the life of Sr. Maura Clarke, from her early life growing up in an Irish immigrant family in Queens, to her life as a missionary in Nicaragua and El Salvador, and ultimate martyrdom in 1980. From the book’s summary, “A Radical Faith is an intimate portrait of one woman’s spiritual and political transformation, and her courageous devotion to justice.”
