Position Summary
As Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) celebrates its 36th Anniversary, we are looking for a strong Digital Marketing Instructor in our Advance and Earn Program. This position will provide critical career focused instruction to young adults. Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Workforce, the Digital Marketing Instructor will be responsible for the goals associated with a new program that supports opportunity youth 16-24. This position is ideal for a professional who has been exposed to the digital marketing sector and has strong facilitation skills.

OBT, in partnership with Generation, has developed a credential training program for digital marketing. This program will provide young adults, ages 16-24, with the tools to prepare for a meaningful career path in a full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction to young adults interested in a career in Digital Marketing
  • Facilitate curricula that is sector focused, and builds skills to enter into a career path/
  • Achieve all program milestones, benchmarks and credentials at required intervals
  • Monitor the flow of young adults throughout program components
  • Develop systems for and track data on student and program progress, benchmarks and outcomes
  • Cultivate and manage relationships within OBT’s inter-disciplinary team, as well as act as a liaison with the Generation team
  • Participate in regular observation, feedback and coaching to improve performance
  • Participate in professional development to share best practices and improve educational programming
  • Deliver all technical, behavioral, mindset, and employment essential lessons
  • Providing individualized education plans and modules based on participant’s learning needs
  • Administer, grade, and provide feedback on weekly assessments, progress reports, and daily exit tickets
  • Support Generation and OBT’s data-driven model by tracking and inputting (in data tool) participant attendance, performance in class and on assessments.
  • Utilize Generation and OBT’s technology platforms (e.g., data tool, GenApp, recruiting tool)
  • Display mastery of the content and ability to teach the content to a young adult population with little previous Digital Marketing experience
  • Tend to tasks as needed

  • Be available for occasional evening events or work related tasks

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, social media or comparable degree ; at least 3 years’ relevant work experience in providing work readiness and/or industry recognized credential instruction. Credentials in Adobe, Google Analytics, and Facebook Digital Marketing highly preferred.
