OBT is an ever-present advocacy partner within the communities we serve in New York City. OBT engages with government and businesses with the aim of elevating the voices of community members in decisions that affect their community.  From conducting internal research to providing impact data, OBT consistently makes the case around workforce-related issues and also advocacy for increased investments in the communities OBT serves. Further, OBT’s Presidents and CEO Dr. Williams, is a member of numerous community advocacy and social thought organizations both locally and state-wide. Most recently, Dr. Williams was chosen to support the Economic & Workforce Development Committee for Eric Adams Mayoral transition team. In addition, Dr. Williams is currently apart of the statewide workgroup led by NYATEP, focused on advocating for workforce needs.
