Provides a comprehensive business skills training and GED classes (if needed). Job placement is provided at the completion of the program.

Young Adult Internship Program

Provides paid internships to young adults who are not currently working or in-school. Preference given to residents of CD 1 & 4 (Williamsburg/Bushwick/Greenpoint)

This program provides six weeks of rigorous business skills training to young adults.
Upon completion, successful candidates will be placed in internships throughout NYC.

Adult Employment Services
Provides core services and employment assistance to unemployed and under-employed adults.
8:30am – 12:15pm

Resume assistance, enhancement of computer skills, interviewing skills and job placement assistance.
Bushwick Workforce Resource Center (BWRC)
To facilitate greater access to education, job training, and employment services for the people of Bushwick, and to develop community partnerships that can provide additional support to local residents. The BWRC will serve as an extension or our Thornton Street site.

Visitors to the BWRC will receive assessments by a vocational counselor to determine vocational and educational needs; develop customized vocational and educational plans; access the services of an on-site job developer who is highly-experienced in securing employment; enroll in education and job training programs through OBT or other community partners; enroll in GED and literacy classes on-site; obtain referrals to local organizations which offer services that OBT does not provide, including access to low-cost health insurance, substance-abuse counseling, housing assistance, financial counseling and food distribution
Adults Literacy Program
ESOL, GED & Pre-GED

Provides instruction ESOL, GED & Pre-GED instruction to adults.

Learn in the Evening (LITE)
Provides instructions in English as a Second Language, GED preparation, and Computer Applications in a condensed schedule to accommodate full-time workers.

6:00pm – 8:00pm TUE & WED
Each class requires a $20 registration fee. GED class includes book and test appointment - $100.00. Computer class is provided with state of the art computer applications - $150.00. ESL is provided for beginner and intermediate conversational English - $25.00.

Stay at Work Program (SAW)
Provides job retention support for the newly employed OBT graduate
OBT Sunset Park:
First Thursday of every month

OBT Bushwick
Third Wednesday of every month
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
SAW was designed to promote job retention by providing OBT graduates with a forum of peers to discuss and/or ease the transition to the workforce through group and individual counseling.
